In the second installment of his Ultra Local Geography, Larry Shure documents the "functional beauty" of the portals to various buildings in Chicago's Rogers Park neighborhood. An exhaustive zine-cum-architectural-guidebook, it documents and describes the features of eleven doors, including date, architect, building owner, cost, size, building materials, and even the reference information for the City of Chicago building permits. Shure provides drawings of the doors, their building facades, and street addresses/intersections.

Essays, case studies, and commentary from the cofounders, administrators, project facilitators, students, and project partners and consultants, describing Archeworks's 12-year history as an avant-garde education and design institution in Chicago.

This catalog offers information on Archeworks' alternative design program and school, which provides its students with a Post Professional Diploma in Alternative Design. The program is one full year long and is open to students from a broad range of disciplines; Archeworks is a part-time evening program.
